1) Does my media product use, develop or challenge the forms and conventions of real media products?
Below is a short video comparing clips from my music video with real music videos, to give you a better understanding of my choices when making the video.

3) What have you learned from your audience feedback?
The video above shows a focus group from our target audience watching my groups music video and looking at the adverts/digipack. When watching we asked them to fill out a question sheet to gain more information back, to see what they liked about it and how they felt it could be improved. Also, we gained one to one opinions on our video to see what truly stood out to the audience.
Below is audience feedback about my ancillary texts and video when I posted them on Facebook.
I posted my products on Facebook while I was making them, so while I was producing work I could see if my target audience liked what I was making and too see if I was appealing to them correctly, while meeting my genre's conventions. Also, this information allowed me to make improvements on my products to make them a lot better.

3) What have you learned from your audience feedback? - Peer Assessment
Above is a peer assessment on the draft of my 3 side digi-pack. This helps a lot as I can see where improvements have to be made and see how well my group's digi-pack is looking. Also, it shows if I am reaching the target audience well, or if I need to make improvements to connect to them more.
During class we showed a group of peers our music video and we gained some feedback them, it especially helped as they were the right target audience (young, teenage females) and being media students they would give back constructive criticism.
We used the mark scheme and an A3 sheet piece of paper to write down notes about the video, when we got the feedback, the most common improvement for my video was to use more camera movement like 'pans and tracks'. So we took this comment and used Final Cut itself to add a zoom effect on a few clips to gain the marks for camera movement. Also, are digi-packs and adverts had positive feedback and they said both products link well together.
The image to the left shows overall results from a survey used on Survey Monkey, where people in my 6th Form were able to vote for their favourite music video. I created this survey to see if my video and other videos were a success and if they reached the target audience.
I used this to my advantage too see if my music video was successful and reached the target audience of young people. From the results my video came second overall, and I felt that it shows the video reached the showed the right conventions for a 'pop' video. While also reaching the target audience, and just purely showing that the video was a success.

4) How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
technolgies
Above is a short clip of me and my group setting up the 'studio' scene, where powder paint will be thrown. It shows some of the new technologies that I have started to use, like the HD camera and the lighting rigs to create the right mood/atmosphere.
Above is a short clip of me and group using Final Cut and Photoshop for when producing my final production. The section shows my group using Final Cut to place in the end clip for our music video, we firstly had to watch it and then use the 'input' & 'output' to selection the section we wanted. It was then followed by us placing in the clip to the timeline, and further cutting it to the right amount of time and making sure that the lip-sync was in time, making it look more realistic. The clip we used was when the performer was in the lights and we used the camera to create a blur allowing it too look magical.
In the video it shows us using Photoshop to create out digi-pack, the clip specifically shows us editing the front panel and CD panel. As a group we took images of the artist with the lights, allowing our final products to link together. Also, we show how we created the feather effect around the artist on the front, while showing how we created the contact sheet of images for the middle. The clip shows that we all had great skills in both Final Cut & Photoshop, therefore meaning our final products would work well, and the use of media technologies was used to its full potential.

Evaluation draft assessment / check
Assessment / Check - Evaluation draft ideas SJA 16th Jan 2012
www:
www:
- Good to see you taking our advice on board and thinking of really creative ways to present your info for each Eval question
- Thoughtful ideas noted here - with good intentions to really invest time and effort and use ICT creatively
ebi:
- Time to start getting on with developing your 'ideas' and notes into detailed posts now Emma, as you have set yourself lots of time consuming tasks to do - but PLEASE do them, as it will be worth it.
- New Technologies post - try using JING software to 'show' your skilled use of a wide range of new technologies on a daily basis in media lessons - just talk through as you open up your blog, final cut, photoshop, etc, etc...
- Audience feedback - time consuming - but sooooo worth it. Do loads of 'documenting / evidencing' of you seeking a range of opinions from audience, and how you respond to their suggestions
- Combination of video & ancillary tasks - this is all about the idea of 'design elemens' threading through your prac work - show your brand identity.
Overall, great ideas Emma - BUT NOW is certainly the time to get starting on getting these developed...
